Level up with our LEAD Method!
We have a problem. Many people, in-industry or not, do not have access to get into or further in the wine industry. This system is flawed. We want to help talented people catch their dreams and achieve their goals. However, there is a gap to get to get there.
It's our mission to teach you what has taken years to learn...why, because we know what it's like to have opportunities pass you by because you didn't know someone, didn't get an invite to learn, or simply didn't know any better.

Why would we know?
We've spent our entire working careers hustling to level-up in leadership. Our industry already begins with many who are at a disadvantage socially and there is a gap to access role models -- which doesn't make it any easier.
I know the feeling of your direct report keeping you exactly where you are in your career because it benefits them.
I know the feeling of wishing someone would show me what I needed to know to be able to confidently apply for a postition I never performed but knew I could.
I know the feeling of jumping into a new career and spending a year "figuring it out" while losing money because no one wants to help you compete against them in sales.
Jeremy's class is well thought out, technical, but also 100% real talk. I appreciated the number of 'things that should be common sense' that are explicitly discussed. Having spent all my years working at a restaurant, I found it extremely helpful to hear about real-life work scenarios on the supplier/importer/distributor side of things, and get a perspective into the thought process of what goes on in the other parts of the equation.

After taking the course, I'm working to use the time to be a better buyer. I feel like if I can help my sales team sell to me better - we'll both make more money.

I highly recommend Sommpreneur and Jeremy’s classes. He shared incredible knowledge of the beverage world in a relaxed way that made it easy and fun. I’m positive his class benefitted my professional work. I feel like I received a masterclass from an industry veteran and I also had a heck of a good time hanging out with a new buddy - and that’s a great combination.

This is For you if
You Feel Like You're Stuck at a Restaurant Job
Restaurant life is awesome but the pandemic has definitely shown that it's a hard industry in hard times. If you've ever considered transitioning to pursue wine and think it's time, then this is for you.
Your Looking to Improve Your Current Position
If you're in a buying position, you can improve by understand the role of your reps. By better understanding what they do, you can benefit in your role by knowing their goals, incentives, etc.
You're in Distribution but Have No Guidance
Often times the hustle-and-bustle of the industry creates zero-time to provide proper on-boarding and training for new employees. In sales, it's very much a "throw 'em to the sharks" mentality of learning which many don't always thrive. If you're feeling this way, this is for you.
You Have a Passion for Working with Wine
Maybe you're in an industry that has afforded you experiences with fine wine and are now interested in pursuing a career in wine because you uncovered a passion, this is for you.
This is NOT for you if
You Hate Curse Words
Yes, we are professionals. However, we are no B.S. coaches and believe in the tough-love motivation that sometimes include curse words. We highly suggest if you are offended by this language, this course is not for you.
You Need Constant Support
These courses are self-paced and offer assignments to hold you accountable for your own learning. If you need constant support on "how to learn", this isn't the course for you.
You Don't Have Hospitality in Your Heart
If you don't enjoy providing service to others, this isn't the course for you. The whole spirit of the course is intended to help serve your customers better to ultimately provide a great memory for the end-customers. This is not a get rich quick study. It will still take hard work.
You Need Wine Education
We are teaching the business of wine. Basic wine education is a prerequisite of this course and highly needed for further success. There are many great resources that teach this but we're not it.

ABOUT US
Sommpreneur was created by the co-founders of in·know·ology. Our ultimate goal is to create awareness to put better wines on the American table. Whether it's in-restaurant or in a home, better wines are available at competitive prices...let's find a way to demystify better wines together.
One way is by creating these courses to help people learn their craft, find room for wines they believe in, and steward the people they influence to do the same.
